Hi! I'm Rayaan, a 16-year-old student pilot from Singapore. I created this website after a real flight scare where unclear radio calls caused confusion while I was circuit flying, in training the fundamental skills that include take offs, climbs, turns, straight and level flying, decent and landing patterns. I decided to make a space where student pilots can learn, practice, and feel more confident with radio communication. Here, you will find information and resources made for beginner pilots who want to improve their communication skills and stay safe in the air.

My Catalyst Project Journey - Singapore American School Turning a Training Scare Into a Learning Opportunity: This is the journey behind how I unpacked my idea of "Clear Skies and Clear Communication" and turned a single incident into the foundation of SafelyFlights.com . The mission behind this project is to improve pilot safety and communication awareness for student pilots. I was 14 years old when I started studying and training for my Recreational Pilot Certificate.

My Target Audience

Why is this a problem? How do you know? My target audience includes trainee pilots, student pilots and experienced aviators who want to refresh their communication skills. I reached out to this community through email, whatsapp with in person and zoom demos along with recorded interviews. These conversations allowed me to understand what pilots need and how they prefer to learn. Their feedback on the information and layout of the site validated this as a resource that would b
